At a time when I needed a life preserver
You threw me an anchor.
The weight of it pulled me down,
Sowed the seeds of my self-destruction,
Crumbled the facade of my perfect life
and a thousand other cliche's.
Tearing my reality apart piece by piece
You committed the ultimate faux pas -
Drove me to the brink of reality.
I've drifted back in my foggy haze
to something resembling my normal life;
But it is haunted daily by the ghost of you...

"A man ought to desire that which is genuine instead of
that which is artifical, and protect the natural,
not pollute it to make the artificial."

~ Creation's Thread~

When we take as our friend
Creation and all that it entails
We gain a peace that will never end
And tranquil breezes will surely fill our sails
As Our eyes begin to be aware
of all the things around
Our heart will fill with joy to share
with all the things that we have found

We will see how all of us share
A common single thread
that connects us with a cosmic aire
to everything ever made done or said
So bear in mind what you do
and how it will be perceived
For the thread of creations realm will bind you to
the things you have deceived

~Remember Me~

When the sun shines upon the dew covered grasses,
Remember me, my smiles, and gentle, loving caresses.
When the rain falls from the darkened clouded sky,
Remember me and the tears I did cry.

When lightening flashes through the dark nights,
Remember me, and how I searched for what was always right.
When thunder rolls and rumbles through the air,
Remember me, and I will always be there.

When you see a rainbow racing across the sky,
Remember me, and please do not cry.
When you see wondrous things such as waterfalls,
Remember me and how I always gave my all.

When you hear a child laugh in joy and glee,
Always, always remember me.
When you see someone that struggles to be recognized,
Remember me and how hard I always tried.

When you see two lovers walking hand in hand,
Remember me, as you travel across this land.
When you see a moon shining in the sky so bright,
Remember me, and my love for all that is right.

When you see the wonderful and fascinating things this world has to hold,
Remember me, as you grow old.
For all I have asked is remembrance and love,
For this is all I have ever dreamed of.

When you realize, what could have been,
What could have happened back then...
Just recall my words for that is how I wish it to be...
Always, Always......remember me......

"Portrait of a Friend"

I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts, or fears.
But I can listen to you, and together we will search for answers.

I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with it's untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.
I can't keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.
Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happinesses are not mine;
yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you, and help you when you ask.
I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.

I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
but I can give you the room to change, room to grow, room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
but I can cry with you
and help you pick up the pieces and put them back in place.

I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.

false people and evil intentions and avoids those who speak
with forked tongues and those who care not that
they speak lies to their brothers for they live false lives
and care not for Mother Earth nor Love."

What is a Friend?
I will tell you.

It is a person with whom you dare to be yourself.
Your soul can be naked with him/her. She seems to ask of you
to put on nothing, only to be what you are.
She does not want you to be better or worse.
You do not have to be on your guard.
You can say what you think,
so long as it is genuinely you.
She understands those contradictions in your nature
that lead others to misjudge you.
With her you can breathe freely.
She understands.
You do not have to be careful.
You can abuse her, neglect her, tolerate her.
Best of all you can keep still with her.
It makes no matter. She likes you.
She is like a fire that purges the bone. She understands.
She understands.
You can weep with her, laugh with her, pray with her.
Through it all, and underneath,
she sees, knows and still loves you.

A Friend? What is a friend?
Just one, I repeat, with whom you dare be yourself.
